Cello

Justin Cowart is a 2010 cello performance graduate of UMKC Conservatory of Music and Dance. For the year 2007-2008, Justin earned the position of Cellist for the Graduate Fellowship String Quartet of the Conservatory. A native of Lee's Summit, Justin has been playing the cello for twenty years, and has served as Principal Cellist for the UMKC Conservatory Orchestra, UMKC Chamber Orchestra, Kansas City Civic Orchestra, and is currently Associate Principal Cellist for the Lee's Summit Symphony Orchestra.  Justin is an active private music educator and free-lance musician, has collaborated with many artists spanning several genres, and is in close collaboration with electro-acoustic artist, Natalya Wren.
